lexadmn 2 #1 Posted September 11, 2022 I have a B-145 / model C720 that is .....well, pretty ruff shape. I no longer have any intent to bring this thing back to life and I was planning to salvage the motors (if I can find a use for them) and scrap the rest. What voltage run the motors on these? I have looked and none of the electric motors have anything identifying them, nor voltage requirements. I did download the manual but seen nothing for motor voltage. It has 2 - lift motors (front and rear) and a drive motor. I did connect 12 VDC to one of the lift motors and got no response. Thank you. KC
SylvanLakeWH 25,496 #2 Posted September 11, 2022 If I'm not mistaken they are a 36 v system powered by six 6 volt batteries. I'd be interested in the tractor, as I am sure others would be as well. Although distance for me (11 hours) is a factor... Please don't scrap it! They are not very common. Perhaps there are others...? @Evguy 1
Evguy 556 #3 Posted September 11, 2022 It would be a shame to scrap, as they are getting hard to find. I would like to pick one up to restore but ideally closer to home. 1
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,033 #4 Posted September 11, 2022 20 items but most are duplicated for each model year. Can not pin serial 121126 to a model year. The Details page shows 36 volts and 14hp https://www.wheelhorseforum.com/search/?&q=1-0720&type=downloads_file&search_and_or=or&sortby=relevancy 3
lexadmn 2 #5 Posted September 11, 2022 Interesting information and Thank you gwest_ca for locating this. I don't think I have any reason to scavenge the motors, so I moved it out back. KC 1

uglyblue66 111 #8 Posted October 29, 2022 I must say that tractor is standing up on it's own as good or better than mine. Please put a harbor freight tarp over it.

I cannot list it in the classifieds as I do not want to sell it and I have not found a "FREE" section on the forum or I would list it there. KC
SylvanLakeWH 25,496 #16 Posted April 23, 2023 You could just post in classifieds and note "Free" for the asking price. It's been done before.

KC Just mark it as free or simply sell it for $1 and donate the $1 back to the buyer
c-series don 8,670 #18 Posted April 23, 2023 I would really hate to see that tractor just rust away. I hope someone takes it and at the very least gets it inside and out of the weather. Someone that collects General Electric tractors would probably be interested in it also, they must have some kind of website like we do? To the best of my knowledge they are the same tractors just different colors?
