How much can a 606 pull?

I am looking to tow about 650 lbs

It all depends on the terrain.  It’ll pull it.  Can it stop it?  Flat ground?  Probably no problem.  My commando 6 is essentially the same machine.

 

It could use more front weight!

I have towed a car on level ground with a 953, but there was a driver in the car and the brakes worked.

OK let's go back to old math. Back in the early 1960's Wheel Horse had the Suburban series, which were the models 400, 550, 401, 551 and model 701, now with these models you could get a 4-wheeled wagon of which the loaded capacity was 1,000 pounds. Now I can imagine a scary ride with a Suburban 400 going downhill with a 1,000-pound payload. The 1961 Model 701 you could get a front-end loader as an attachment, now this type of attachment requires a few add on's such as rear wheel weights to counterbalance a load. Now factor in the weight of the loader assembly, weight of the operator, plus the load in the bucket and the net weight of the Model 701 now you're talking close to 1,500 pounds. So, 650 pounds is a piece of cake for a Wheel Horse.

The original UW-64 made by G & R Manufacturing in Rockford; IL made a stout little wagon that Wheel Horse sold, now the UW-643 and UW-641 had a pay load capacity of just 600 pounds.
