Blade help please?

Recommended Posts

Gregor

I am attempting to install a front blade on my C-175 Automatic, without much success. I believe this blade actually came with my C-125 Automatic. I have never had a blade on a C series tractor. It is hydraulic lift, but the lever on the cylinder seem to move pretty much front to rear, with very little up or down motion. I have the bar with the chain hanging on the end of it, but when attached to the plow, it does not lift. How do you transfer that front/rear motion to up/down motion? Am I missing a piece? Could it be the wrong blade? There are no legible numbers on the plow.  Thanks  Greg20220909_094706.jpg.22cf0daa150c30c7a68c508fd1ef13b5.jpg20220909_094848.jpg.f647c7827cce70df5979c1d5ade6090a.jpg20220909_094732.jpg.14c9f70498211013665a298100623ec6.jpg

:text-yeahthat: Or the mower lift arm needs to be removed and the lift link/chain direct to the lift quadrant

OK  I thought I got it, maybe I don't got it. When connecting the plow, is it necessary to use that bar that lifts and lowers the mower deck? Or just hook direct from the bell crank lever to the plow?

Thanks  Greg

You do not have to use that lower bar. With a solid link you do not use it and that will give you down pressure.

You can tie the mower bar up or down remove it.
