Mickwhitt 4,626 #1 Posted September 8, 2022 Today we in Britain lost the most important person in our lives. Our Queen, who has ruled for seventy years, passed away suddenly this afternoon. Our nation is in shock and grief that will only deepen as the fact sinks in that our monarch is dead. We have a new King, Charles the third. God bless and keep him, God bless and goodbye to our sovereign lady Elizabeth the second. 11

Blasterdad 2,692 #4 Posted September 9, 2022 I've always thought that if I was granted a wish to meet anyone in the whole world it would have been her. I'm out in the garage now comforting the Lotus & the MG, she was a class act all the way around & will be sorely missed here.
EB-80/8inPA 1,641 #5 Posted September 9, 2022 From accepting PM Johnson’s resignation to recognizing the new PM Truss, and as frail as she had become, she attended to her duties stalwartly to the very end. Never let it be said otherwise.
formariz 11,987 #6 Posted September 9, 2022 My condolences to all British people. There perhaps has never been nor will be again a public figure who have conducted themselves with such dignity , grace, and having the utmost loyalty and respect for their people. Such is evidenced by the admiration of virtually the entire world. Regardless of politics or political system beliefs a true loss of a great example of noble conduct. 2 1
Rick3478 428 #7 Posted September 9, 2022 Classy lady, I thought. Didn't always agree with what she said or did, but she met hard decisions head on and did what she thought best for God and country. Gotta respect that. Goodnight and GSTQ.
