WHX??

That is an R or an RE if electric start. Around '67 vintage.

I have one just like it and the tecky pains me till no end. It's a learning curve on clutching it but a blast to tool around on.

I have a 1967 REO Lawn Skiff that I took all apart in the spring of 2021. My intention was to clean it, paint it, get the engine running, and have it all assembled in time for the 2021 WHCC show. Well that didn't happen and 19 months have passed since I took it apart. Now I don't think that I can remember how it all fits back together. Sort of my own version of Humpty Dumpty.

Yes. But I've found that that only give you a rough road map.

Yes, but again you are dealing with a 72 year

old guy who has back trouble and that thing sits mighty low to the ground.

@SylvanLakeWH @squonk, didn't one of you sell a skiff to @stevasaurus? Sort of remember a picture of him that looked a bit like this.        :P

Too late, people out in California are buying them all up!  :scared-eek:   Now if they only had some electricity to charge the batteries with          :ychain:

Move the table out of the kitchen.

Not a kitchen table anymore.

Now it's a mobile workbench.

Problem solved.

:offtopic: I've fished all my life. I used to frequent a fishing forum and posted some pictures of me cleaning some mahi on the counter. They were over the top with doing such a thing in the kitchen :confusion-confused: I was like, it's food dudes, and the kitchen is the workshop of the house. They clearly had no idea what kind of things I had done in there :tools-hammerdrill: :tools-hammer::banana-wrench:

Atleast one I see :ychain:

Gotta say i'm pretty surprised how stout these little ride on's are (seem to be) built. If i'm not mistaken that is a cast iron axle/gearbox?

No comment on this picture other than to say it looks like it cuts good, but I worry about the tire ruts left behind. :laughing-rolling:

An earlier reel REO with their own designed and built engine. I had one of these that my Dad converted into a go-kart for me. Cut off the blades in the reel (a nod to safety?) and bolted a frame to the front with a seat and steering. Ran it until it fell apart, but that engine never gave up!
