Holiday hitch pics??

Recommended Posts

Sparky

Ok, kind of a lame topic. But cleaning up in the garage and shed on this Labor Day holiday and I discovered I have quite a few rear hitches.
Couple different ones so why not share with pics. I know folks have been modding the rear draw hitch since the first one was produced a zillion years ago.
The one on my 308 musta had a bagger support piece that some lazy fellow just cut off!

Is that a custom pintle hitch you made or no also do you think it could handle pulling a small military army tanker trailer

If your referring to the last pic it’s a 2” hitch receiver.
Military stuff is always heavily built so my answer is no to towing the army tanker trailer you mentioned based on its possible weight. It might be towable but probably not stoppable.

It’s maybe about  10- 12ft from rear to the front of the hitch

That is a... interesting setup..

Might I suggest we refer to this hitch as 'EL DIABLO' in the future :ychain:

LOL!
It’s a neat piece. Has a 1-1/4” receiver and a mean lookin hook all held together with a nasty weld (but probably plenty strong) .
Can’t recall how I ended up with it :eusa-think:

Never seen that one before. Is it tractor specific, like for a GT14 or something?

It's for an earlier style tiller like the 7-1211. That tiller had a two belt drive. One to an idler setup mounted just in front of the transmission, the second from that point to the tiller. You had to move the right footrest out and add a second belt guard. A pain. On the plus side you didn't have to remove the slot hitch to mount the tiller. It actually connected to the tiller to lift it. I used that style of tiller for years on my 76 but I modified it to use the later style belt drive. It was easier to mount/dismount than the newer style. The downside it that the snowblade I had wouldn't work with that axle bracket but that didn't matter as I used the 84 tractor for the blade. :)

Yes. Quick chain or strap hook up.

Also, that E-141 is my go to tug for the SL&WHN RR. When in a parade I have other WH’s as well. I can easily hook them together in case of break downs… I have a strap that I carry just for that purpose.. you can see it wrapped in the second pic.EE07A2CF-1EC9-43C1-A883-DC2F0187496B.jpeg.e2334abfed55c6a114827521f8bf5910.jpeg4E9DD9DA-7C7F-4E42-8506-3A2C6732BA42.jpeg.d03d9e13182e345422297845f5a791db.jpeg
