So told the boss I won’t be in today and took my parents up and down the Connecticut river. Absolutely perfect day! squonk 41,072 #2 Posted September 2, 2022 And no other boats! I refuse to work any week that has Friday in it! My brother has a cottage up on the sand bar between Sodus Bay and Lake Ontario. The only way to get to it is by boat or about a 10 mile walk. It's mayhem up there on the weekend at the channel between the bay and lake. You need at least 1 other person on the boat to keep an eye out for idiots on the jet skis and all the other boats. No Breakdowns! Good deal. I remember my Napa days. When I opened the store on Memorial Day Weekend I would get all the boxes with marine ignition parts out and put them on the counter. saved a lot of walking! 1 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

A few pictures of Patti and I smallmouth bass fishing on Sebec Lake in Maine years back. Sure do miss the tranquillity of it.
