Evguy 556 #1 Posted August 31, 2022 The saga, I just wanted an ignition switch to replace missing switch on my 314. I bought a switch on eBay, the switch they said fit, was incorrect. I ordered the correct switch from another vendor, looking correct, I installed it. I kept blowing a fuse, I had done a lot of wiring changes with engine swap. After checking all my work, I found the new switch grounding battery and acc as it was turned on, in run it was fine, between off and run It shorted battery to ground. Cheap parts are cheap for a reason. 2

I now stick to known name brands for ignition switches and have advised others to do so as you are today. For a Wheelhorse tractor I try VERY hard to use OEM switches ONLY. 103990 or 103991. For $20 or $25 shipped to my door... Why use anything else?

Thanks, but for some reason the switch I need is 40-80 bucks. Not sure why. Same switch under Hustler brand is far less.

rmaynard 15,509 #13 Posted August 31, 2022 You are correct. On Amazon the Genuine Toro 92-6785 is $41.22 with free shipping. It's your choice, aftermarket for about $18 or Toro for $41. They are both probably made in China.
