Mid mount grader capabilities on display

The local female BBT person spent some time repositioning the ramp from the left rear of our new building site area down towards the forest. 

 

It was tilted a fair amount and too steep.  

 

You can see in the pics just how much she cut off the right side.  

Using my 18" front tire as a size reference she certainly sliced off at least that 18". Maybe 20.  

 

 

She moved that material slowly and gradually off towards the other side which also took the tilt out of the ramp.  

 

 

 

And also spread the scraped material downward adding to the bottom area thereby leveling out the grade. 

The end was at the big boulder on the right. 

 

Here you can see it's a good strong 18 to 22 feet past the boulder now.

I don’t own one of these blades but it’s on my wish list….. kinda like most attachments. I do have some experience with one tho. I borrowed one from @Crazywheelhorseman a few years back to grade out and level my large shed that I built off the back of my garage. I ran it on my bronco 14. I thought it worked great! Now to just find one in my price range some day! Funny thing is it popped up on my Facebook memories the other day and I didn’t save the picture.

Nice work, the grader blade is my favorite attchment.  It is amazing what you can do with one.

The tan colored underlayer is 4" max gravel. We found very few larger stones. Should compact nicely.  

 

The gray layer is what some call stone dust. Others I think ¾ Max. It's crushed stone but with the powder left in, not rinsed off. 

It will compact down with usage, time, and rain to near cement.

I'd say it might be Trina's favorite too.  

She maintains the driveway with it. Flattened out the whole new garden with it. 

Last night after the ramp was done she went out by the road and re-cut a couple rain runoff ditches the town had put in a few weeks ago. 

 

It's quite a tool. 

 

@WHGuy413 absolutely recommend getting one. It adds substantial real value to the tractor collection.

Eric. I have to say that that mid mount grader is worth far more than what you paid for it in being handy attachment to have. Great pick`s as always.

When we built our house I was owner/builder and the subcontractor who did the backfill and grading work with a track hoe got as close to the foundation as he felt was safe and said he would have his worker come back and do the finish grading by hand. I had the mid mount blade on the 1055 already and proceeded to complete the final grading while he was loading the track hoe. He absolutely fell in love with it and wanted to buy it.

Yes sir that's correct. Lightweight operator. 40 lb of Steel out in front and roughly 110 lb of wheel weights. Chains on turf tires. Standard Wheel Horse Limited Slip Differential..

Every time  it rains heavy here, I have to regrade my driveway with mine.

It absolutely can be done. 

 

The angles are different which makes the material being moved lay out different.  

Trina's done a little with the dozer. 

She far prefers the mid mount for moving and leveling dirt.

I’ve rough moved a lot of dirt with my dozer blade. But switch to my grader blade to slick it off. It’s my favorite attachment!
