giddyap 1,569 #8 Posted August 29, 2022 (edited) According to the video "Artemis 1 Explained" will be unmanned to test the systems. go back to Dec 1968 Apollo 8 man mission will orbit the earth and test the lunar lander but the LEM is not ready New mission to orbit the moon surprises everyone and without the LEM that will in the future make Apollo 13 a "successful failure". Apollo crew are the first to see "Earth Rise" and more important gives the USA the first lead in the space race since it began in Oct 1957 Edited August 29, 2022 by giddyap add image

WHGuy413 2,683 #18 Posted September 6, 2022 Alex has been watching and waiting for this to take off. He was off from school every day they tried to launch it. He was bummed when it got scrubbed and pushed back to a later date. One thing about Alex is he loves space and rockets almost as much as wheel horses.
