48” Plow on 520h

Recommended Posts

WheelHorseVH

Hey guys. Does anything in the picture below look wrong to you? Heres what youre looking at, its a 48” blade 06-48bc03 with an extension kit from Wheelhorsepartsandmore on a 96 520h. The metal rod that allows for blade angling snapped off so i am replacing it this week. It was going really close to the PTO so i switched the lever to the other side of the handle before it snapped on me. Everything still looks like its going to be very close, if not touching, the PTO when i go to angle the blade in that direction. Wondering if anything looks like i just messed it up or anything.

Thanks in advance.

going by memory here,  the metal handle you squeeze should be in front of the the large red flat stock lever.

hope that helps

@WheelHorseVH  couple of things , agree with @mrc  on the front edge of lever mount , another thing is set up detailing , the bolts that hold / swivel points , should have an elastic lock nuts  , on bolt end to hold "  swing sweet spot  " that will let you dial in easy function , and it will stay there , another thing is to use a aerosol red grease in that plow steering quadrant , make all adjustments with plow raised , so you can see / improver your gains , lubricate every related movement point , thats how I  always set up my plows , my slide pin sounds like a rifle pin , red grease , extension nozzle tube , pete

Thank you this helps. It looks like your handle or the rod would touch the PTO if you angle it all the way, does it?
