So basically it would now be more like a selectable live axle. I can see where that would be less taxing on the clutch assembly and gears as well.

And if ya wanted to build something that could be remotely construed as practical you could hang a tiny pulley off the transmission and use Low Range for "work speed".

Sure, but it will be awhile, as it is currently disassembled for more machine work to the frame and add turn stops to the front spindles. The assembly to check interferences and disassembly to machine and weld this prototype has helped with my patience.

@Snoopy11, As mentioned previously, the bottom flange of the frame angles have been machined to accommodate the original 8 degrees of angle tip.

Spindle stops have been added to the front axle and brake caliper mounting holes added to the transmission mounting channel.

The OEM Kohler Command crankshaft gear said to be made of powered metal and is pressed onto the crankshaft without any key. An engine builder is machining a keyway in the crankshaft and installing an alloy steel crank gear. I am expecting the crank back next week. The engine will be assembled to verify clearances and the crank will be then be balanced.

This is the way the gear is supposed to be installed on a crankshaft. With a key.

Internal engine clearances checked and crankshaft going to the engine machine shop for balancing.

After dealing with issues with both the billet aluminum connecting rods and rod bearing oil clearances, the crankshaft is finally at the machine shop for balancing. After 9 months, when the crank returns the engine can finally be assembled and test run.

The voltmeter has been mounted in the gas tank dash. The tachometer and oil pressure gauge have been mounted in the hood stand.

Some of the tractor shows require a muffler. The muffler is a racing muffler from Joes Racing Products. Basically a see thru muffler with perforated inner tube wrapped with fiberglass with a bigger outer tube. Don't worry, it can be removed with (4) bolts for Sunday church rides. LOL.

@Wild Bill 633  can easily see in your build up that once you  just went after eliminating any chance of failure / problems , your ideas, way to go  is the deal , can really relate to the heavy metal stock , have a number of  heavy metal pieces in my stock . very good work , pete
