Burnerman 758 #1 Posted August 26, 2022 (edited) anyone into old saws? These are the 2 I had gotten running. I think I have another MacCulloch around. Edited August 26, 2022 by Burnerman
Skwerl58 704 #2 Posted August 26, 2022 Not really into them but I respect the person that could use those things all day and go home with all their extremities! I have been cutting firewood for 40 years with Poulans, Mac's, Homelite, Stihl and Husqvarna saws and that now have all the safety stuff. I remember a friend trying to start a Mac with points on a damp day and I got tired watching him. Great job getting them going!
C-85 681 #3 Posted August 29, 2022 It's great seeing these old saws that look like dinosaurs now, but back in the day, they were much better than the alternatives! I think of how loud they were, how heavy they were, no anti vibration handles, and how bulky they were, but they did get the job done! At my family's business we sold a lot of chain saws, like Remington, Poulan, Partner, Pioneer, Darnam, Sachs Dolmar, and even a few Wright blade saws. These are a few I have museumed!
