Rob J. 1,942 #1 Posted August 25, 2022 Picked this up last night. Drove 200 miles to get it. It is thought that this tractor had been in the same family from new. Gentleman who owned it put a battery conversion on the back hitch for extra weight. All bolted on. Probably start clean up on it today. I could not find the ID sticker. Had I not clicked on this ad I’d a never known. 1045 was not in the title or description. One side pic revealed the 1045 decal. peter lena 8,625 #17 Posted August 25, 2022 @Pullstart been doing that for years , a no brainer , aerosol penetrating oil spray / mist down , let it soak in a day , preferably in the hot sun , using clean cloth wipe it down till dry , how does it look ? darker paint ? do it again ., you have just saved patina ! have taken it from that stage , with a 6" electric palm buffer , and cleaner wax , pow ! paint break thru ! then a regular easy maintenance lubricant rub down , keeps it looking that way . warm steel will draw in lubricant , go grease , pete 1 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Glad to see it found a good home and shortly I’m hoping my collection will find some new owners too . I didn’t really have the funds but when I seen it I immediately asked the guy a couple of questions and I was satisfied it was the real deal, wasn’t 100% but felt good. Made arrangements to pick up next day. Deal went smooth. The guy selling it for the old guy was a real nice guy. Didn’t know a thing about Wheel Horses but that probably worked in my favor.
