CountryRock 199 #1 Posted August 25, 2022 I have this 4 inch amber led strobe in a bracket and I'm looking for ideas on mounting it to one of my tractors. I was thinking of possibly mounting it to the back of the seat, but I'm not sure what to use to make a mounting point for it there. All ideas are welcome.
SPINJIM 1,981 #2 Posted August 25, 2022 (edited) Depends a little on which model WH you have. I'd mount it on the fender; but which model and fender shape do you have? If the seat has to flip up to fill the gas tank, you might not want to mount the light and wires to the seat. Let us know what you decide. I've been thinking of adding a blinker to the back of one of my WHs so that I'm more visible riding on the street. peter lena 8,933 #3 Posted August 25, 2022 @SPINJIM think of bracket coming off the 2 rear seat frame bolts UNDER THE SEAT AREA , eliminating the seat , also have that road edge visibility issue , perforated steel is a good choice , relatively easy to work with , or similar light flat steel strips . been using flashing bicycle lights in my testing mode , pete
SylvanLakeWH 26,306 #4 Posted August 25, 2022 Here’s how I mounted one. Straight to the fender pan. I use a magnet strobe also on hood.
ri702bill 8,615 #5 Posted August 25, 2022 Wherever you mount it, it needs to be rigid - lights do not tolerate vibration well - at all .....
