Good thing that she did not have a bad encounter with the bull.

Some may say that their bull is friendly. I say "A friendly bull is the most dangerous". Why? Because you tend to let your guard down around a friendly bull. That's when he will take his chance at you.

To true. I've had a couple of exciting moments with bulls. While we were herding him to where he should have been, I made sure I had an escape route just in case.

Yes bulls are no joke friendly or not . Had one bull I bottle fed and raised . We would play around when I was feeding him by pushing against his head and he would push back . Well one day my uncle had to do my chores and had to fill up his water . This barn had no running water so you had to dip 5gal buckets out of the 500gal tank haul it 30 yards to his pen and dump it in his tank. If you didn’t want to get soaked you lifted the bucket over the gate and reach through the bars and pour from a lower height . Well he pinned my uncle’s elbow against the bar and broke his arm. Had another bull named Bell that was just plan old mean . Always had to know where he was while I was in the pen with the milking cows. One day my uncle came just in time as Bell had the hired hand pinned down ready for the the death blow . He whistled really load distraction the bull and giving enough time for him to role out and get out of there . Bell ended up with a ring in his nose and a chain hanging from it . Had one time when Bell’s brother tried jumping the gate ( thankfully getting stuck ) trying to get at me while I was feeding the calf’s . My last adventure happened on a 4th of July . I get home from the parade and see a dozen or more cows outback in the field . I thought no big deal I’ll just get them to follow me to the farm and put them in the big pen until I figure out who’s they were . I made halfway to them when all of sudden one was running full boar right for me. Lucky I was still in shape and fast enough to reach the safety of my old truck . He was pissed with snot pouring from his nose and giving a bellow sound with every breath . He chased me over to my dads where he was showing his dominance by picking up the back of my dads Suburban . My uncle’s joined along with a couple other farmers trying to get him a his herein to to the pen on the farm . He was having no part of anyone getting close to his girls . This went on for the whole day just to keep the herd in the field and the other neighbor safe. We finally figured out who they belonged to and they just followed him back like it was no big deal . Just another adventure I’d never change growing up on a dairy farm . Never ever trust a bull no matter how friendly he seems . I found this article on how you should never trust a bull . I may add I’ve also had some run in with some angry cows when separating from their calf’s too .
