Need More UP!

Hello RSC, I am tidying up the C-175 Auto at the moment as there are a good many repairs adjustments that I've let stack up and one of the issues I am trying to resolve is a lack of upward lift travel for the clevis hitch in the back. I have replace the cable, clevis, and tube and still had less lift than i felt like I should have.

 

In the attached diagram the lift cable for the rear hitch is shown fitting in the bottom hole on the LIFT LEVER. The trunnion on my lift cable will not fit that hole. It fits in the next one up. Could that be the issue? Should I drill it out?

 

Also should my T-Bar bottom out against the steering shaft (as it currently does). Also my little lift position gauge on the left side only goes half way up when I actuate the cylinder to its max lift position.

 

I know that's a lot for one post but I am in a writing mood I guess.

What are we lifting up?  I wouldn’t be against drilling out the lift arm, but I’d think it should lift enough…

I have a tiller, cultivator, plow, furrower, disc, and rear grader blade.

Will the trunnion fit but the pin is too big for the hole? You will get a lot more lift from the lower hole but I would use a smaller pin rather than drilling out the hole.

A bit late to reply here, but the trunnion is not intended to attach to the mid-tractor rock shaft arm. The clevis end of the cable goes there with a small clevis pin & cotter to secure it.

The trunnion attaches to the much larger hole in the rear rockshaft.
