how can meeting someone one time cause this reaction ?

Same reaction here... my heart is very heavy... and I never physically met him in person. Just goes to show what an impact he had.

I wasn't going to say this, but I think it is in good company so I will share. He was one of the older guys around who encouraged me to continue pursuing my education. My Master's degree that I am fixing to begin on Monday will be dedicated to him.

I hope Jay's family sees this, and knows that although I never had the pleasure to meet him in person, he made an impact in my life.

Now I need a beach towel... :crying-yellow:

I never met him, but thoroughly enjoyed his contributions to the forum.  He was one of the very first people to welcome me upon joining, and always came across as a sincerely decent and kind human being.  He will indeed be missed.

He even invited me and my wife Libby to join him for supper one night.

God Bless You Road Apples…

That's just the kind of guy he was @Horse Newbie.

We had to invite him to camp for victuals, Dan's pulled pork and smoked Mac n cheese... I told him to keep eatin i would tell him when he was full.

' Course he had to drag Madge along but it was all good. Camp dinner I'll never forget.

He loved to give us the business about he only lived 15 from the show!

I just noticed @Darrenw85 the pic on his trading card is the one with the apples in the bucket. :lol:That card I have and will go up on the honor wall in the shop.

I found this on him too.

Evidently his family is still working on an obit.

I plan on planting a tree in my yard for him and of course it will be fertilized in a manner I'm sure he would approve of. :)

Wow another great one gone.

Met jay a bunch of yrs ago at the show.

Like it has been said numerous times he talked to you like an old friend.

He's definitely in heaven helping other wheel horse fanatics with what ever they need.

I know he'll have parking spots available for the rest of us when the time comes.

R.I.P. brother.
