D180 snowblower

Recommended Posts

Recently purchased a D180 and a snowblower.  Have the snowblower mounted and the transmission and input turn as they should but the auger drum does not move at all.  It sounds as though something is turning inside the drum.  I've not been able to find any information that would clarify what is happening.  Any help will be appreciated.  Thanks

Not familiar with those but could the auger be missing pins that secure it to the shaft? Like shear pins? Look for holes where it might be missing pins/bolts

I didn't see a manual for that in the files section but search for one and a parts drawing may help to indicate what's going on

Is the output of the right angle drive box turning when the input is rotated?? If not, the beveled gears may be shot...

Additional information.  The chain and both the small and large sprockets turn but the input shaft into the drum does not turn.  I've only engaged the take off clutch at just above idle.  Is there a clutch in the snowblower that will engage with more power??  Thanks.
