tim57chevy 12 #1 Posted August 16, 2022 Before I just tear into it can anybody give me a service info on changing the belt ON the mule drive? I don't want to damage anything but I need to change the belt and the Mower manual does NOT mention the mule drive for this. At least not the ones I downloaded from this site. ri702bill 8,296 #2 Posted August 16, 2022 (edited) Tim Your mule drive is part of the mower package - down load your mower manual. Easy to change - back off the tensioner knob, remove the PTO pullpin and swing it out of the way - if needed. Revove the large nut on the mule drive, remove the guard. Remove belt - note the center pulley on the deck - belt goes on top pulley. Assembly is the reverse... You May wish to pull the 2 mule drive pulleys and spacers to inspect them . note the location of the 4 parts - all are different (and the manual does NOT tell you which is the long or short spacer). tim57chevy 12 #5 Posted August 17, 2022 Thanks all especially gwest_ca. The manual you linked to did show how to change the belt on the mule drive. All the mower manuals I had before did not show that. I now know what i need to do. Thanks again.
