Monstrosity 1,127 #1 Posted August 16, 2022 Well I believe it's a 953 sticker worn off the engine cover and the serial plate is buried is crap and rust... she's a little ruff and hurt. Gear shifter is extremely sloppy but most of the panels are there.. engine is SIEZED. But I have plenty I have a 12hp sitting in Elizabethtown PA at my parents a d I have the 12 horse off the c160 that is getting parted out. I'm currently making custom front hubs to adapt rear atv rims 🤪🤪( that'll be another thread.) I'll use the front tires off rhe 1277 to easily move the frame around until I have the time to really dig into her. I found her in staten island bit of an odd place to find but shes got a large plow on er. 3

953 nut 55,181 #9 Posted August 16, 2022 Nice find, who knew that Statin Island would be a Wheel Horse Happy Hunting Ground. The dimple in the bends of the seat frame are a quick reference point to tell you it is a 1054. No big deal, 953 or 1054 it is a cool find in a very unusual place.

I have converted a couple of my 4 lug machines to 5 lug for 12” wheels… so I have extra 4 lug 15” wheels around. Do you need tires too, or just wheels and you’ll get new tires? Shipping might be a bear.

Monstrosity 1,127 #12 Posted August 27, 2022 Current state of the 1054 placed the 12hp off the c125 on frame. Looking to cut what's left of the work box in the back. Was the plate under the seat removable or did a previous owner make one??

Many great Wheelhorse finds there including a four wheel wagon. Seems that in times past when many residents with large properties mowed their own lawn and plowed their driveways , Wheelhorse was a popular brand.
Monstrosity 1,127 #19 Posted March 28, 2023 Slowly just giving the Horstrosity a face-lift with some rattle cans. Just need to finish hooking up the trailer hitch to the rear, and get a new belt... Then I'll have my dedicated mobile planter mover! 2

Monstrosity 1,127 #22 Posted April 6, 2023 (edited) So I ordered a "complete set" but inside the box 2 main mounts are missing so some fabrication seems to be in the future which isn't terrible but the height of the fenders would be in question. But that's the least of my issue.. I just want to know why I shorted two pieces when they were advertised on the ad.... Anyways I'm excited for the completion of this project. The rear fenders were rotted pretty badly and the main flat area was cut away for access under the seat and rear box was non existent. Cheapest quickest fix GT14 fenders! Good deal even missing pieces still.. messaged the seller and awaiting a response. Hopefully it ends positive. Just a quick mock up. I have a seat/fuel tank mount which I'll be using for main seat support and probably looking like fabricating fender mount/seat pan from that. Also thinking of using the old fuel tank as a weight filling it with either old antifreeze or filling with cement..i have adaptors being made to accept the 4 lug ag tires as i purchased new wheels expecting to use them and then running into a sweet 6 speed parts tractor deal and having issues with the 3 speed which need to be split... i will be trying to remove hubs for use in the future i believe the shaft size is the same on both trans.. but ill cross thay bridge when i have time to split the case. 953 nut 55,181 #23 Posted April 6, 2023 10 hours ago, Monstrosity said: I ordered a "complete set" You got a complete set of sheet metal. What you are missing to hold up the rear fenders is the top link adapter and struts that hold up the sheet metal on the GT-14. The top link adapter # 8) bolts to the top of the transmission so an adapter plate will need to be made unless you are running the Sundstrand transaxle from a GT-14. You need to obtain or replicate part # 8 that attaches to the transmission and struts # 11 and 12 and you will need to fabricate a means of attachment for these struts along each side of the of the steering/dash tower.
