Having struggled to crank grandads AC model B when I was a 70lb 10yo I had the same concerns Richard. I assume the seat is hinged to flip forward. Knowing how they kick back breaking arms and jerking shoulders out of joint, it would be scary squeezed between the frame rails and the tie rod.
