Dieseltu 26 #1 Posted August 8, 2022 Do you guys use a jack. and some kinda rig to hold it up to work on it or do you flip it over. I could easily take the fuel tank off and flip it over. And I wouldn't mind finding service/ owners manuals too.

For the engine you will have to down load a separate manual to match to the engine that you have. https://www.wheelhorseforum.com/files/ Edited August 8, 2022 by Achto

Handy Don 12,217 #4 Posted August 8, 2022 (edited) I've used, at different times, no lift, wheel dollies, jack stands, and a hydraulic lift table. Each with pluses and minuses. A lot depends on what you are doing. No lift and the dollies are convenient for simple stuff but are killers for my back. Jack stands are good and secure, and I can use my rolling stool, but it takes time to get the tractor jacked and unjacked and it cannot be moved while on the stands. Using the table I had very convenient access to everything above the frame but nothing under it. The table does have wheels that lock so I can move it easily and it's easy on/easy off. A few words of warning, though: be very aware to secure the tractor to the table so it can not slip and fall off AND pay attention to balance--the engine and transaxles are the really heavy items, but the front axle with wheels isn't light. Lifting or removing one of these could cause the table to tip. (I am considering a cradle and outriggers as table mods.) If would for sure make a good "Insurance" backup support when using another sort of lift!
Pullstart 62,851 #7 Posted August 8, 2022 I have a couple ways, if needed. The white tubes here are my hilo fork extensions. Lift it with the hilo, set it on the table, back away.
Pullstart 62,851 #8 Posted August 8, 2022 Or, just toss a strap around the front end and lift…

Pullstart 62,851 #10 Posted August 8, 2022 I also have a drive on in floor lift that works well.
Wild Bill in VA 1,452 #11 Posted August 8, 2022 When it's gotta be lifted I use this ..... it has a two-speed winch, a brake and 1,000 lbs. lift. It swivels around and has have holes in the post so it can be locked in position with a bolt. there is a jack attached to the frame for support. Don’t ask how I know this (wasn’t a Wheel Horse, but a mess, nevertheless).

ri702bill 8,319 #14 Posted August 9, 2022 (edited) Kevin That stand looks a mite scary - and a tad narrow. All that weight "balanced" on close spaced "moose legs"' I would have left the hilo forks still into the extensions... but that's just me...
