Pullstart 62,905 #1 Posted August 5, 2022 Picked this up with a couple two three Kohlers last year. I’m hoping to have it at next year’s Big Show for the feature! 2
Snoopy11 5,714 #2 Posted August 5, 2022 WHATCHYA plan to power it with? Don't forget the Stens 215-267 front wheel bearings... that thang looks like it needs some hefty in the front end... Don

Why not... run 2 of those K series under the hood of that mochine... put a double pulley on the engines... run a primary short belt from one engine to the other with a tensioner, then a secondary belt from the closest engine to transmission... Pullstart 62,905 #5 Posted August 5, 2022 This one’s way too nice to hack up with two engines Plus, the way the steering shaft runs through the frame I’m not sure if there would be room..

Pullstart 62,905 #10 Posted June 7, 2023 Rylee wanted to bring her 401 but I asked her if she could bring this RJ58 if I were to have it ready in time. I’ll probably start on it soon! 3
Pullstart 62,905 #11 Posted June 7, 2023 The solid seat pan sat twisted, like the base was welded on wrong. I think I have a fix for it! Since there will be so many at the show, I need to make ours not get lost! The hood will remain as is, and the seat is pretty unique. 5
Pullstart 62,905 #12 Posted June 7, 2023 Maybe this’ll inspire the girls to put their RJs together? in the meantime, I can use their parts for reference.
Pullstart 62,905 #13 Posted June 10, 2023 I got the engine and seat bolted tight. I assembled the steering as well.
Pullstart 62,905 #14 Posted June 12, 2023 I scavenged some tires that hold air… and repurposed the CASE orange rear wheels for Justin! The rears might not stay on this tractor forever, or at least for the show… but they transport well being so skinny.
Pullstart 62,905 #15 Posted June 12, 2023 Right, wrong or indifferent, this is being assembled as is for the show. Making the tractor count +1 if at all possible. I got the Wheel Horse belt on, and the non-painted fabricated guard as well.
Pullstart 62,905 #16 Posted June 12, 2023 I need some foot rest recommendations. I realize these didn’t come with ‘em. I’ll more than likely have a little girl riding it more than myself. Which option would be more correcterer?
Pullstart 62,905 #17 Posted June 13, 2023 Dumb question… indeed! I asked the small legged child. We agreed that the cast flavor was easier to get off the Suburbans
wallfish 17,011 #18 Posted June 13, 2023 Just FYI Cast are 1961 The diamond plate are 1960 I see lots of RJs with the newer stirrup style on them too
Pullstart 62,905 #19 Posted June 13, 2023 Clutch and brake are functional, foot rests are on. Here’s also proof that I do wear boots and pants on occasion. It’s not always shorts and boots weather!

Most of my students would say otherwise! It can be 10°F out and they'll be wearing shorts and Heydudes or boots!
