Heatingman 971 #1 Posted August 3, 2022 (edited) Im in process of doing a partial restoration, mainly a repaint of the tractor and the implements. (B-80) 42” plow, and 36” Rear discharge deck. With some repairs here and there as the need arises. Anyways, the seat is cracked pretty good and moisture nearly rotted the bottom inside below the foam on the seat pan. I would like to make the existing seat new again instead just buying a new one. I also want to retain the seat safety switch function, as eventually my young son may become responsible for mowing. I have decent sewing skills, but not sure I need them here. Need advise for what a good fabric would be and also what the trim around the perimeter that holds the cushion skin to the seat pan is called, and possible who makes it. Thanks. peter lena 8,625 #3 Posted August 3, 2022 @AMC RULES agree with you on the vinyl ,truck door guards , they are tight and smaller in size for a very good hood to cowl slide fit , thats also a very good large scale site for ideas , more is good, pete
AMC RULES 37,130 #4 Posted August 3, 2022 I would suggest that you do any part of the seat restoration process that you can do yourself as you will find the upholstery work alone is going to add up quick.

Fantastic workmanship! Is that Marine Vinyl? Or something more exotic? Also is that for a tractor, or other hobby project? You sew in the cross hatch pattern aswell, or were those pieces from fabric that already had that treatment?

Marine grade vinyl because this tractor will be no trailer queen.
