2nd 520H Now O have to WORK !!

Recommended Posts

S416-8

Picked up my 2nd 520H with the blower and cab today for 800. Things that I need to address on this one are, so far:

1) Engine is surging at anything but full throttle.

2) Someone cut out the fuse block and wired in individual fuses.. works fine but not right so going to bug the **** out of me.

3) There is a bearing noise in the fan area of the hydro pump...  never dealt with anything here so ugh not sure.. hope there is a bearing on the fan and it is not the pump.

4)Lots of cosmetic stuff...

Still this will be a blower machine... so have time to get it right

  You may get lucky.

1) Engine is surging at anything but full throttle.     Clean the carb, it worked for me.

3) There is a bearing noise in the fan area of the hydro pump...Check the belt tensioner pulley.

   Good luck.

Many have had trouble with the fuse block due to dirt/corrosion/overheating. The individual fuses may be a good improvement of their installed properly.

I changed my fuses to individual. Soldered and shrink tubed. No more problems

yup drive belt tensioner. Bearing is rusted up to the point it smoothed and worn down the spacer so now need to grab both, Today is the engine degrease and carb cleaning day to see what I ended up with...

I hate to admit to the number of WH tractors I have bought at auctions that were sold as scrap due to bad hydros.     The hydros were all OK, but they had frozen bearings in the idler pulleys.

Crazy. This one I got off a guy for 800 and all he did was blow snow with it. Sure he put it away wet each year

well cleaned the carb out and the surge is about gone. The tensioner bearing is shot so have that ordered and cleaned out tons of crap out of, well everywhere. Next - electrical run through and cleaning.
