At today’s prices, that’s a $500 day for him.  I’m sure not everyone is that lucky, but he shows how to “shop around” for black sand and good pay dirt.  Looks like I should be taking more family trips to the beach!

I use a home built centrifuge, 12 inch bowel mounted on an old lawn mower spindle, small gasoline engine from a push mower. Feed is 3/8" minus.

 

From any stream or river known to have gold, search the high water mark after freshen, the small trees and grass capture the black sand with the riches you seek.

 

The spiral rings he speaks of is in my opinion just a sales pitch, anything with a specific gravity heavy enough to be stuck to the inside of the bowel is not going over the edge.

 

Remember the tilt a whirl.
