I've heard about urinating on a jellyfish sting. Rural medicine in years passed had some strange methods, but the results were often effective, I wonder who was the first person who said "let me pee on that gash and wrap it in leaves".

Well the funny thing about urine is that it's actually sterile, as long as you don't have a bladder infection that is.

 At the time it probably saved me from a serious infection or worse. There was nothing but home remedies available . Thinking of the serious infections many today get while in a modern hospital it was not so bad. Had I needed stitches I am sure that he would have done it also since I saw him many times stitching up cows.
