grader blade attachment

I picked up a grader blade for my 1983 C-175.  It is 50" wide so I believe it is the blade described in 'Blade Grader Mid-mounted 50in 1983-85 07-50BM01 TIPL.pdf'.  I have it mounted with the link bracket off my front plow.  This lets it raise about 1" above the ground, and with the tires on 2x4s I can drop the plow to the ground, so I estimate it can drop about 2" below ground level.  It doesn't have much down-force though, as I expect this setup translates the force into sideways motion on the brackets and slop on the connecting screw.

Is there a better bracket to use?  I'd like to get it higher, because my area is rather hilly and I'm often dragging a corner of the plow into the grass.  I don't see a recommendation in the tractor manual or the plow manual, other than the plow manual shows a '110522 Link Lift'.  Is that the bracket with

I can add photos of my bracket setup later if it helps.

Have you tried using the extra lift hole on the rockshaft?

@John di   @953 nut  thanks for the schematic  , not only showing mounting points , but a glairing point to me is  LUBRICATION OPPORTUNITIES , typically never done , rusty / stuck / jammed , recommend  an aerosol penetrating  lubricant first , using nozzle tube extension tube , for tight / hard to reach areas , makes the rust run out . then follow up with , lucas red / tacky aerosol lube , for smooth easy function of linkage /  bearing sleeve areas , only a suggestion ,all of my related linkages , cables , slide areas , work without effort . go greasy , pete

Thanks.  I noticed in your image there is a grader bade hole designated on #27:

I also found this is a good thread related to this topic that I had bookmarked previously -

Here's the front plow link I'm using.  I believe I have it on the two closest holes, so it is already tighter than the 4" spacing on the short link.  I need to get under there and check.

Are you thinking to have two solid links? One from rock shaft to mower lift arm and then another from the arm to the grader (using the forward hole)?

Using the mower arm and the forward hole to the grader will give somewhat longer motion range but less leverage for lift and down force on the blade.
