I found a very cool one today.

:WRS:

You found the one tractor that hardly any of us would pass up.         :handgestures-thumbupright:       It is the strongest single cylinder Wheel Horse ever made and very popular.

@Prestons Hobby

NIIIIICE.

I have a nice assortment of C160 tractors.

One of them is a '75 Automatic.

I bought it specifically and only to plow snow.

Turned out that was an excellent recommendation by the folks here on Redsquare.

Well done!

Thank you all very much. Not sure how this happened so quick but I think I’m either addicted or infected by the Red Square virus. 😂
i am currently the owner of 8 wheel horse tractors now. 😳

but this newest one definitely got me pumped up.

Thank you Don for asking. This one is a 1964 model 604. This baby starts so easy and idles down to almost hit & miss rpm and never misses a beat. Very cool little tractor

Just to explain that picture because it is cropped out and…. I hope this does not offend anyone but 😁…… you can see a chain hooked to the back of the tractor and a sign in the background because…. Somehow I had a green tractor (not to mention any brand names) in my garage that I decided to sell since my garage is filling up with Red Tractors and the John ….. I mean the green tractor wouldn’t start and had to pull it back to the shop. 😂

This one is my 314Hydro. Good working tractor but having an issue with the low idle a little bit. Haven’t really had time to mess with it yet because I’ve been on a hunt lately. 😁

GT2500 Anniversary. Don’t really know much about these. There seems to be controversy on how much these are liked or disliked and the value they hold.

I will share more as I get them cleaned up and find the right shade of lipstick. Thank you for the welcoming messages from all of you.

My remaining models are…

C-85

312-8

B112

and the last one I am not sure until I get it cleaned up because the previous owner painted it black and covered the sticker with the model #…. But if I had to guess it is probably a 200 series.

Keep in mind these are

AIR COOLED

&

OIL SPLASH LUBE

engines.

Idle RPM is set at 1200 for a VERY important reason.

Low RPM is ONLY to be used right before shut down and some folks don't even do that.

You'll find no such controversy here.

Everyone has preferences toward different models.

Value is more based on what the current owner's opinion is.

Nice tractor.

You just beat me to it Eric,as you said, too low of a idle speed could be harmful to your engine.

Hmmmm…. Not sure now how to tell what these are. The identification tag under the steering column says 604?

Thank you for all the comments. I saw the 2 lines on either side of the (604) and did not realize they were digits in the identification. I am definitely where I need to be in this group. I am hoping to learn a lot here. Thank you

Yes, you've come to the right place, ask questions and post pictures of anything you have questions about. Someone here will have the fix for you. And if you can become a supporter of the forum, it will have many other benefits, besides keeping the lights on.  ;)

@Prestons Hobby referring to that 314 H , the time to do  something  is when it shows its head, you might start with some gas cleaning treatment , drop that carb bowl , look for crud , clean out and remove , have a fuel filter on that ? change it , you probably have debris in the tank , my personal  suggestion on carb cleaning , aside from removal and disassembly is to use your hand , on the carb intake and seafoam carb cleaner sucked thru those , nozzles / jets , has done a very thorough clean out for me . personally never let a problem go on , once its shows up . don,t  collect problems , get rid of them .  would also give that rig , an oil soaked , clean cloth rub down , very easy , stop rust / kill off the grunge . good luck with that , pete
