Pullstart 62,916 #52 Posted July 9, 2023 The show was great, but we all must leave eventually. Had an amazing meat and taters supper thanks to @Achto, @joebob and Joel and (ta-)Mara! We filled up at the Madison exit by Camping World, dumped our tanks and stopped at Rest Area 17 for the night. 4 hours and some minutes to home.

Pullstart 62,916 #55 Posted July 9, 2023 @ChubbyMinnow remember when I was saying I enjoy the adventure? I was just kidding I have a massive crack in my radiator. Good news, is I have a spare about an hour away, if I can figure out how to get it here
Pullstart 62,916 #56 Posted July 9, 2023 It’s been found! @squonk don’t worry as soon as I get home I’ll work on our big video of the show. (No kids riding tractors of course!) For now, I’ll be pulling the broken one and waiting. @bds1984 I’m at the Paw Paw TSC if you’re looking to heckle any dirty people today

You were pushing some pretty good temps on the way to PA. Those plastic rads don't like that!

It seamed to be running hotter than usual on the way to and from WI. I had just pulled a pretty big hill when I started smelling something funky. Shortly after, the low coolant light came on and I was conveniently rolling distance from a highway exit!

The tire fixer was quite young. “Joey” at Pomp’s didn’t quite know how to remove a valve stem. I pulled my knife out, slit the backer off and pulled it out for him. I figured it would be a lesson he wouldn’t soon forget. The shop manager told me the valve stem is $8, but to just take care of Joey. I handed him $50 in 10s and 5s and thanked him for his help. A few other guys had other to-dos with the repair, so I did what I was told, and hoped he would share the wealth with his buddies. 6
squonk 41,156 #64 Posted July 9, 2023 What is it with you guys and valve stems. I've around vehicles and RV's for almost 50 yrs. and never saw a failure on the road. Might be time for some metal ones.

Achto 27,609 #74 Posted July 10, 2023 (edited) A few pics from my camera. A very well done narrow front round nose, along with a few others. This creation. . The A&W invasion. We had a Friday night cruise around the show grounds, which ended by taking a trip up to the near by A&W. Jacob found an alternate use for his new low dollar tiller.
