D_Mac 8,610 #1 Posted July 22, 2022 So I picked this up at a sale. It was dirt cheap. Wondering if anyone knows the name brand It has a horrible spray can paint job. It is very well built and is HEAVY !!. Fold down top with a lift out tray. Missing the bottom lid for the open compartment. Oldie but a goodie. 4
Sparky-(Admin) 21,315 #2 Posted July 22, 2022 It’s nothing like my US General (Harbor Freight) so I can only guess what brand it isn’t. 1

oliver2-44 9,742 #7 Posted July 22, 2022 The base looks like the early Craftsman (1948-50's) my dad got when he came back from WWII and went to Aviation school.
D_Mac 8,610 #8 Posted July 22, 2022 (edited) K9The top and bottom match. Never seen a drawer configuration like the top box. The ends of the drawer pulls are like scalloped at the ends. Did I mention that it weighs a ton. Has a lift out tray on top also. Some of the bigger drawers have double sliders. I can tell it's 70s or older. Usually the larger drawer is centered between the 2 small drawers. This box the larger is at the end. Edited July 22, 2022 by D_Mac

adsm08 2,048 #12 Posted July 22, 2022 I've seen a few older Stack-on boxes that look like that. Never seen an off-set lock like on the bottom part. Not sure if that's what it is, and unless the keys match it'd be hard to even say if they are a truly matched set, but that's what I think.

They don't seem to bring any money but I can tell you that they are built well and are very heavy. Did you or do you have one ??

No, I went to your thread on the computer and took my phone and opened Google Lens to take a picture of your toolbox from the computer screen. Then I got it to search images for your toolbox on the web. D_Mac 8,610 #17 Posted July 23, 2022 Well I couldn't stand looking at it the way it was so I got some paint out after work today. Little brush work and it looks better anyways. Now for some drawer liners. 1

D_Mac 8,610 #19 Posted July 24, 2022 So I decided to put some liners in the drawers. I didn't think I was going to do anything with it but oh well. Came out ok. Today I will wax it and lube the rails.
