Did something lift a leg on that rim or is it coming from inside?

What do you mean by that. Oh I know what you mean but no people have told me it’s like calcium or something like that

Originals were filled for weight and the calcium chloride they used eats the rims. Original RJ rims are hard to find because everyone else's have rotted too.

Take them off and measure the bore through the middle. Find some 8" rims that are close.

Did you fix the steering or work on that engine yet?

Roll it away from wherever it is then.

We're all allergic, THEY HURT!  Unless they're those nasty white face aggressive hornets, they won't do anything unless you disturb the nest or get to close for a long time.

Fix the steering pin. get a belt  and get the engine running. It'll still drive on those old fronts. How are going to know everything you need for parts if ya don't take it a part and look at things? You won't need front rims if the engine never runs or the trans is toast. You're gonna need to get your hands dirty to get that baby going again! Try putting an ad in the classified section for stuff too.

Best to drain that old crap out of that trans and flush it with kerosene or diesel fuel then fill with new gear oil.

There are snap ring clips on the end of the spindles to get the rims off. You'll need to knock out the bearings with a bar and hammer to get those out.

I’ve already drained the oil and it doesn’t look bad for how long it’s been sitting but the gas tank and oil smells real bad

I purchased a set of brand new Rims for my 656 at this Source

https://radundrolle.de/seiten/Felgen/Stahlfelgen/Kugelllager-Felge_450Ax6.htm

The 8“ Rims fits perfectly and they be Ballbearing types.

Stahlfelge 5.50Ax8 mit Kugellagern, Rollenlagern, Gleitlagern oder Antrieb

unfortunately I can't tell if they sell it and ship it to the states,
but it's still worth asking.

Shipping to the States can be arranged.

That sounds to a 100 Points like mine was.

i let them sandblasting and powdercoating.

I ordered this with the same color like the Frontwheel was,

but they coated them in RAL Aluminum - for me the wrong color,

but however, they been well protected for my Needs and the next Century.

And i find it doesn‘t look too bad either.

Do any of y’all know of a good way to remove small rusty bolts without rounding them off

Because all the bolts that hold the shroud on are rusty and seized I think

Pullstart

Remember that all these bolts took YEARS to get stuck, so patience is going to be your best friend.  Spray some penetrating oil on them, tapping them with a hammer (not smash them) can help shock the threads, wait a few days.  Spray, tap, repeat.  If they come loose, then bind up again, tighten them back a turn, then loosen them more.
