skrusins 128 #1 Posted July 22, 2022 Looking for a 1in. taller gauge wheel any suggestions? I'd seen a link earlier but I can't find it. Thanks in advance, Stan
peter lena 8,589 #2 Posted July 22, 2022 @skrusins how about a local tractor supply ? or similar ? J/D deck wheels are typically taller , if nothing else , snoop around online with the specs you want , head you in the right direction , pete 2
pacer 3,168 #3 Posted July 22, 2022 Harbor Frt also has a HUGE selection -- and they are cheaper than TSC
Jeff-C175 7,199 #4 Posted July 22, 2022 In most cases you do get what you pay for. I bought some cheapo HF wheels and they lasted one mowing season. The metal was thin and rusted and bent easily. Something like a gauge wheel needs to be beefy. They take a lot of abuse. Not saying to not try TSC or HF , but be aware that the $3.99 specials aren't worth the trouble.

Absolutely I was cheap and tried cheap wheels and they broke in a short amount of time. I got OEM Wheel Horse wheels and they are still going strong 4
skrusins 128 #6 Posted July 22, 2022 Thanks to everyone for your great advice. I always used WH deck wheels, but I'm trying to get a 7inch wheel to get a 4inch mowing height. Once Again Thanks to everyone Stan

Note the tread width and bore length as well as other specs. Lastly, be sure to re-level the deck with the new wheels and.... please POST PICTURES and info on your results!
