Thegearhead0324 1,256 #1 Posted July 21, 2022 Hi all! So during my walk with the ol lady this evening, I ran across a wheel horse that has been sitting in the same spot for months. I drive by it every day and walk by it a lot. I feel like it’s WH neglect, just leaving it there rain or shine, probably been sitting in snow banks in past. I figured this thread can be the start of posting abused, “not loved” tractors. Makes me cringe and sad. It’s like the owner gave up on it.

Do they weed whack around it? Why haven't you offered to get that "piece of junk" out of their way. Edited July 22, 2022 by Jeff-C175

That would make you just as bad as the person neglecting it... @SylvanLakeWH just beat me to it but yes, that does look like a snowblower next to the house, might be a great find...Would ask about it for sure! R Scheer 502 #17 Posted July 22, 2022 (edited) In this case it wouldn't be theiving, more like a rescue. Of course offer $50 and see what happens... Edited July 22, 2022 by R Scheer
D_Mac 8,619 #18 Posted July 22, 2022 I just finished my rescue of a tractor that was abandoned out in the woods for more then two decades. I named it " Forsaken" and is now one of my favorite tractors. As a 3 time cancer survivor I wouldn't want anyone to have given up on me. 9 1
Thegearhead0324 1,256 #19 Posted July 22, 2022 Yea, horse thieving isn’t my style, I may have to walk up and ask about it at some point. I just hate to see neglected or abandoned machinery. I managed to continue saving my 1257 after my dad gave it to me, I’ve picked up attachments that needed love, I saved my Trans Am which that owner should’ve been ashamed of themselves, and happened to save my truck from a disaster owner. Now I know in general that at some point they all need working on, but you can tell the difference if needed work vs just not caring and letting it all go. I’ve watched quite a few YouTube videos with people “experimenting” these tractors, jumping them off hills and blowing them up on purpose, like that really gets my blood boiling. But anyways, we just gotta save them.

Blasterdad 2,692 #22 Posted July 22, 2022 This poor girl was rode hard & put away wet for 24 years, a testiment to how tough these tractors are. She finally overheated & seized up, spark plugs were pure ash white.
