keitholdcar 17 #1 Posted July 20, 2022 I have a C-160 8 speed, model nunber,1 0381. Serial number 42008. I've always wanted to know what year it is,but never tracked it down.I looked at a spec sheet years ago telling the dates produced, and actual date of manufacture of the tractors, but have no idea where I found it.Now I'm starting to wonder if I am remembering info for something else entirely.Does the info even exist in the public domain? I am a complete computer idiot,so it might be in front of my face.

keitholdcar 17 #5 Posted July 20, 2022 Thanks,The chart I remember seeing was a little different, but this one looks to be very clear.I know my 12 automatic is a 73,that's when it came here new.The 14 automatic turns out to be a 74, and my C-160 is a 75.The C came to me when I had lunch one day and read the local ads.I called the number, the owner had bought a house and the tractor was in the garage, came with the house. It was free and I didn't even know it was a Wheelhorse until I got there. All he could tell me was it was red and free. That was well over 20 years ago.I had a seat made, put a muffler on,and ran a new wire to the points in all that time. 3

keitholdcar 17 #8 Posted July 21, 2022 You're right.I looked at 10485.Those little numbers tend to run together and blur a little for me.If I'd looked a little closer I would have seen the number was for a C-series anyway, not my tractor.Where is the library here? With a computer it might be right in front of my face, and I won't see it.
