Once they are gone....they are gone for good.

Strap in, enjoy the ride.

My plan was to put it back together but not get it running and set it on top of my rollaway tool box to look at

Plan "A" is the way to go.    :twocents-02cents:      As long as it isn't keeping your family from having food or shelter and it brings you pleasure you can always sell it later on if your interest in it wanes.

To find the right person, epay might be the best way. By "right person" I don't necessarily mean getting the most money for it but there's someone out there who wants it more than the next guy. Just so happens the highest bidder probably is that someone.  :twocents-02cents:

Get it running.

Bring it to Michigan.

I’ll watch it for you and make sure it gets occasional seat time around the hood…

Give it back to you when you need it… maybe…

:text-yeahthat: Except if @Sparky breaks it, he bought it!

No doubt in my mind that a "running only" resto would put the value well over $1k. They were a rich kid's toy. I remember it featured in a Sears Christmas Wish Book.

Her racing days are over... im going to delicately clean it a bit, put it back together and put it on display. Unless an obscene offer is made and the "benjamins" are dropped in front of me

I think its a keeper... while this isn't the real parking place for the roll-a-way I had to finish my thought on what I was contemplating when I saw this gem sitting there

'Murica!!

Excuse the dump... need to throw 25 years of "toss it on bench" out...

It's certainly worth the garage art factor too. Looks cool !!! Maybe you ARE the right guy for it since you saw the beauty in it to buy it.

Just a :twocents-twocents: thought, maybe prop it up in the back so it sits on a 45 deg angle? Or hang it like that from the ceiling just above the tool box?

That’s pretty sweet Tony!

@WHX?? and @Achto’s buddy Joel had a Simplicity mower a lot like that this weekend… it’s as fast in reverse as it is in forward!  He also found a lever operated one too!  It’s a joystick that you pull back to engage the clutch and steer like you’re flying an airplane!

WHX??

Wonder Boy Kev. They are a cool mower & the lever steer he picked up is a later '50s and hard to find.

I'm with the others on keep.it Doc. 'Nut nailed it that you can always pass it on yer kids need shoes.

Sounds like you guys had a good time at your show ....we did at ours.

That's worthy of the "R" word.  Not sure what I would do with it in regards to keeping it original or restoring it to new.  Either way it will go for some decent $$$
