keitholdcar 17 #1 Posted July 11, 2022 Is there somebody/someplace here that sell manuals, both part and shop? As in,pay somebody for what I want and get them mailed to me.I am not interested in downloading, and I don't have a printer. My house burned down 28 months ago,and my binder full of Wheelhorse and Kohler manuals was on my desk in the house.I like paper books,When looking for something,or working on it,I like to lay the book in front of me and read as I go.Not running to the house and looking at the computer every time I have a question.I do have the model and serial numbers for the tractors, and numbers for three of the decks.
rjg854 11,361 #2 Posted July 11, 2022 I have the manuals downloaded on my phone, they are always in reach. May be another option for you. Other than that sometimes you can find them on fleabay. That's my 2 cents.
keitholdcar 17 #3 Posted July 11, 2022 I don't have the kind of phone that can do that.I stay away from epay,People there will tell you, this manual is for your machine, and it may or may not be.People here know all about serial number breaks, and how important that number is to the ID of the machine.

keitholdcar 17 #5 Posted July 12, 2022 (edited) Thank you.I really don't expect somebody to work for free though. I have three tractors, and three different decks. Tractor one.12 Automatic, model # 10460 8.Dealer always told me there is supposed to be a space in there somewhere, but it's not.Serial #,902420. Tractor two.14 Automatic Model # 1 0435 8. serial # 962502. Tractor three,C160 8 speed, model # 1 0381 serial # 42008. My decks are, model # R542RC01. serial # 2000028. next deck is model # 85 36MB01.13307.Serial # 8077. Last deck is,model # 7?42MRO2 26586 serial # 7172. The only deck native to the tractor it's on is the one on the C-160,and that tag was missing when I got it around 1990.The dealer and I have always shot from the hip on that one,and have always found parts.I really expect to pay a price to do all this.Even if I had a printer,I would rather be lost with a 45 foot trailer in Boston than to extract and print info from a computer. I can see the logic. I get my Trina to do 'puter stuff. 58 minutes ago, rmaynard said: Tell me what manuals you need, I'll download them, print them, and mail them to you for the cost of postage. keitholdcar 17 #8 Posted July 12, 2022 Thank you.Any equipment I have I always want at the very least the parts manuals. While most of my shop manuals were actually in my shop,I lost around 4000 pounds of books when my house burned.I had brought the Wheelhorse and Kohler books into the house to look up some decals, knobs, and a few other trinkets. It was sitting next to my chair when the house went up.

keitholdcar 17 #10 Posted July 12, 2022 Thanks for pointing this out to me.I missed the numbers,42,in the last deck number. It does start with a 7,next number bashed off,and then the 42MRO2 26586.I have it written down right in front of me,I just missed it while typing. That one is a 42 inch rear discharge deck also.I edited my post to correct it.

Horse Newbie 7,069 #15 Posted July 12, 2022 I have no business in this thread, but I just want to say thank you @rmaynard for being such a helpful guy… I went to the Big Show for my first time this June and I have never met a more kind and helpful group of people… especially the Red Square folks ! Thank you Bob !
