Horse Newbie 7,114 #153 Posted December 17, 2023 I don’t see how sanding by hand would remove enough material to cause the pulley to wobble on the shaft… Where did you get the pulley ?

Is this a cast pulley or a stamped steel pulley? Hammering on a steel pulley will bend'em
The Freightliner Guy 1,331 #166 Posted December 17, 2023 i took the screw out yeah and i only hammered it on the main part not the other part of the pulley and it may be casted cant remember and yeah i made sure it was all the way on the shaft
D_Mac 8,687 #167 Posted December 17, 2023 Yes I was going to ask if you tightened the set screw after you got the pulley into position.
wallfish 17,075 #168 Posted December 17, 2023 The set screw should tighten it to the shaft and the woodruff key should be in place as well.

The Freightliner Guy 1,331 #172 Posted Monday at 12:36 AM I know it’s been a while. Been really busy with school and I’ve been focusing on three wheelers. But I hope to have Reese going soon. I know I said I was doing a 212 but stock tank wouldn’t clear the shifter so I could only use 1st and reverse and not the other two. And I hate messing with original parts because I like trying to keep it how I was. But long story short I now have a nother 5horse Briggs but 1 year newer and it runs good and I already know it’ll fit and work. I will still do a 212 roundy some day. 3
