Now that the wheels are cleaned up, I gotta put another set of tires in it.

Looking great. I suppose you're in the market for bubble-free tires?

I mean, it gives it character, but I don’t want to “bump” around while riding around

Next I gotta primer everything and throw tires on it, then paint wheels after I do that. Then paint the cart to match my WH.

@Thegearhead0324   opportunity to save that  patina !  only if you want to , but an aerosol lubrication spray down , and let  it soak in  for a day  , then clean cloth rub it down ,till dry  no sandpaper or scratch pads, then do it again , notice the oiled look to it , drops water / moisture like a good wax job , you could finish it with linseed oil rub down , and it would look like a time traveler . oil feeding metal is the way to preserve , pete

I hear ya, if I could start all over with the tractor and sickle bar and plow, I probably would have went the patina route. But might as well keep going and just do it all.

I had some tires on old 4 lug rims laying around out back from another trailer I own. They aren’t perfect, but they are surprisingly the same size as the bad ones. So I bought new tubes, cleaned up the rims, and swapped tires onto them. Then I primered everything.

@Thegearhead0324  my last recent pick up was a plow , first thing I  did was an aerosol spray down , just to get the recovery / soak started , after I  cleaned off the debris , it looked dramatically better . then the set up for a function check , to see what I  have . sure you know the routine , good job , keep it going , pete

Thank you! I can’t wait to have it all done and put together hopefully by next week. I think it’s really going to look good behind by 1257!

Finished the dump cart project today! Assembled it and hooked it behind my 1257….. they were definitely meant to be together. I’m just waiting on an ID plate I ordered as the original one on the cart went missing. Just one more attachment that makes her stand out and proud!
