It's very important to remember that these tractors are NOT riding lawn mowers. They are Garden Tractors. Rob J. 1,942 #58 Posted July 19, 2022 I have to agree. While the cool factor is certainly there I wonder just how much “work” one can actually do with that set up. Again just looking at the front ends of these garden tractors one can easily see they aren’t designed for real heavy weight being put there. Sure we’ve all pushed the limits from time to time but if or when I ever get in the market for a loader I’m gonna go with a bigger tractor for sure. There are several models of horses that are more than strong enough to carry a light loader. The loaders used were the same size and shape has a lot of the other competitive garden tractors including the green ones. Most every brand of tractor carries many different types of machines from basic small lawn mowers up to subcompacts. There's no reason whatsoever to believe that a JD would be any more reliable than a much easier to work on Wheel Horse. In fact I venture to say the opposite would be true. I'd rather have a good strong well-built reinforced Wheel Horse absolutely any day than anything built by the competition. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
