Handy Don 12,233 #53 Posted July 25, 2022 Looks cool. The inverted axle will give you a nifty low rider look, but you may want to reinforce the spindle-to-axle attachment beyond the stock c-clip. I'd consider drilling and tapping for a bolt into the ends of the vertical spindle shafts (similar to what holds the wheel on many Horses' horizontal spindle shaft). Mount with a good thick washer and thrust bearing to carry the weight and absorb impacts and secure the bolt with blue or green Loctite. 2

fast88pu 3,324 #58 Posted July 26, 2022 I grabbed the bearings today for the other front wheel. Also grabbed the fittings for the gas tank. Then mounted the wheel, gas tank and engine. 2 6

fast88pu 3,324 #65 Posted August 1, 2022 I cut down the shifters and steering shaft today. I also cleaned up all the sheet metal and cleared some of it. Now to figure out a foot throttle for it. Also had to install a few new nut serts where the originals were missing 1
fast88pu 3,324 #66 Posted August 6, 2022 So the ne steering wheel showed up yesterday and the metal I ordered also came. I mounted the quick connect for the steering wheel so can take the hood off. I also modified the belt guard and that is almost complete now. Then I made the new tool box for the fenders. That took a little bit of time but it is just tacked together for now. Steady progress is always nice. 1
Bill D 1,923 #67 Posted August 6, 2022 (edited) Nice. Where did you get the wheel and adapter from? Can you post part numbers for them please? Thanks Edited August 6, 2022 by Bill D

Thanks Wheels are 10.5" wide 12" rims. Made up. And the spacers are just 5 x 4.5 car wheel spacers. Same pattern as jeeps and mustangs

Snoopy11 5,714 #70 Posted August 6, 2022 Looks great, but I'd make a guard so when that cast flywheel comes apart... it doesn't go into your groin... Or just invest in some of these... Don
