JonW 0 #1 Posted July 7, 2009 I lost the small wire linkage that connects the governor arm and the throttle arm for my Kohler 8 hp K181S-30743D (1980 C85) I dropped it in the lawn somewhere between here and there. If anyone has one, and could send it to me I would appreciate it OR if someone could give me a part number so I could order one that would be great too. I rebuilt the carb, cleaned the VARNISH (I mean old gas from the gas tank)fixed the key problem and this is all that's keeping me from hearing it run....... Thanks TT for the pic. I hope you dont mind me using it. Jon
TT-(Moderator) 1,131 #2 Posted July 7, 2009 230078-S is the Kohler part number. Would you be interested in making one (out of heavy wire) if someone gives you the dimensions? :thumbs2:

TT-(Moderator) 1,131 #5 Posted July 7, 2009 Forgive the first picture, but I think these will help. Bends don't have to be exact but you need

TT-(Moderator) 1,131 #7 Posted July 7, 2009 Not a problem, Jon. Murphy's law says that the one you lost in the lawn will eventually turn up.... sticking out of from between the treads of the flat front tire on the tractor it used to be on.
