Docwheelhorse 2,670 #1 Posted June 26, 2022 Hello all, @Sparky and I just got home.... good show! And our trip start to finish was super smooth. Just had a light bulb turn on in my head... what better feature tractor and raffle tractor next year for the 25th annual WHCC show than a GT2500 anniversary unit!! 364 days to go, see you soon!! Docwheelhorse 2,670 #6 Posted June 26, 2022 Cmon fellas... it would only make sense to have a 25th anniversary WH at the 25th annual WHCC show. At least I think so... but im usually wrong Tony 1
Retired Wrencher 5,468 #7 Posted June 26, 2022 Wish I could be there. But I do the LCI with my wife and brother every year. So, this does not work for us.

Wild Bill in VA 1,452 #9 Posted June 26, 2022 I don't wanna' tell ya' this but the 25th Anniversary Special was the featured tractor a few years back. It was very difficult to think about what model should be the feature for the 25th Anniversary of the Annual Wheel Horse Show but to me in 1958 the creation of the RJ-58 really put Wheel Horse on the map. With the first use of a geared 3 speed transmission and many attachments it made America want a garden tractor. Wild Bill in Richmond VA 8

Mike in NC 341 #14 Posted June 26, 2022 Is there a list of the past featured tractors? Also, when is the featured tractors selected? Are they pick one year at a time, or do they have the next several picked? Thank you!
stevebo-(Moderator) 8,332 #15 Posted June 26, 2022 I have a 58’ or several… gonna make hauling them much easier than the senior👍 Can we throw the 59’ in there as well? Perhaps the 58/59 RJ?

The board decides what the featured tractor is and announces it at the general membership meeting on Friday night of the show. I don't know when they get together to pick it, or if they have a list already set in advance. I'm sure Wild Bill could enlighten us. As far as the list of past featured models, Bill probably has that in his head as well. Let me add this. This is the back of a t-shirt from 2018 It looks like they started "featuring" a model in 2000. As I read it; 2000 - RJ-35 2001 - 701 2002 - Lawn Ranger 2003 - Class of '63 2004 - '74 - '77 Letter Series 2005 - 875, 1075 2006 - 60th Anniversary Models 2007 - 1267 2008 - 500 Special 2009 - GT-14 2010 - 312 2011 - C-195 2012 - Commando 8 2013 - 701 (class of '61) 2014 - Class of '73 (no names) 2015 - Bronco 14 2016 - Customs 2017 - 520's 2018 - Anniversary Models (?) 2019 - Snow Machines 2020 - No Show 2021 - D-Series 2022 - Seniors 2023 - RJ-58 Correct me if I missed any or got any wrong. Perhaps the 58/59 RJ? For you Steve ... it will be alright by me. Wheel Horse made 22,500 RJ models between 1958 and 1959, the only difference is the serial number. The first 20,000 was made in 1958 and the other 2,500 in 1959. The parts all interchange including the part number 3577 shifter boot that was used all the way to the end of production. Hey ya: know if we can think of another competition for our RJ-58's ..... I could win another cigar! Wild Bill in Richmond VA 3 1
953 nut 55,376 #18 Posted June 26, 2022 @Wild Bill in VA got grease on his nice whit pants while working on the giveaway RJ a couple of days ago, got to keep it as the feature considering the 'Double double toil and trouble/Fire burn and cauldron bubble' that Bill went through! That line is from Shakespeare's play, Macbeth. That is our cultural lesson for today.

I’m going to fix the rj35 I had for sale at this years show, along with getting two of my rj58’s going and build Emory’s rj58 that I just picked a tranny up for! I plan to paint the Charger 12 I picked up with automotive paint and Emory wants the Commando 800 we bought and got running at the show redone as well. Shew, I’d better get going on my garage!! 2
