moe1965 738 #1 Posted June 20, 2022 (edited) I bought this tractor with a blown engine. Rebuilt it with help from all of you. Had electrical issues that seam to have disappeared after cleaning all connections. Installed a sickle bar on it with modifications. I bought the sickle bar that was mounted on a Jacobson lawn chief for 100 bucks. The tractor was in bad condition. Sold it for 50 bucks. Rebuild cost me 80 bucks for bore job parts were about 150. I rebuilt it and now have a toy that I have wanted for some time.i plan to re painting the tractor soon. Thanks for all your help. Had a section in there that you had to find hidden things in a picture 😂. The meter is for my friends. Seams like it never expires. I'll put up a in action video soon have a few bugs to work out. peter lena 8,625 #8 Posted June 21, 2022 @horsenewbee , since going over to this , I have no noisy / whining , bearings , also clean out and repack new bearings , to insure there is no hi temp lubrication failure . if you are doing a rebuild or bearing replacement , you are right there , for a side seal removal and clean out , flush with carb cleaner , repack with same amount of lucas , carefully replace side seals , install bearing . detail lubricate every lever / attachment movement point , tell me how effortless it functions , thats what makes me rave about this . lots of hours , no no whining bearings , thats what i wanted . only a suggestion , once you do it , your hooked . greasy pete Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
