https://www.lowes.com/pd/WEN-WEN-6010-6-inch-Random-Orbit-Waxer-and-Polisher/5012515221?cm_mmc=shp-_-c-_-prd-_-tol-_-bng-_  makes paint recovery much easier ,  this type / size  or similar , I  use an aerosol lubricant spray down on old neglected paint , as a feeder to its recovery . total spray down , let sit a day ,CLOTH RUB DOWN TILL DRY  , do that again . that by itself will have probably given that paint a refresh , when I   want to go next step , use this buffer with a cleaner wax , usually get a very deep solid shine , with very little effort , just something  I  do . along with all the other recovery details ,  have a good day , pete

Hmm…kinda like this idea.
I have a patina machine that I could experiment on.

@Sparky  found it to be the changer for time / effort . like I  said on the early stage , that lubrication soak really just stops what ever was going on , thats why I  find it so simple , feed the paint first , let dry , clean rag wipe down , do again . just try a cleaner wax , like rear fender area , chances are it will bust a shine , a 6 pack of buffing covers is $ 5 . now having recovered my , paints , its just a quick  cleaner/ wax , buff , and it looks fresh . see you at zagrey show / july , pete

@peter lena  this one is soaking in zepreserve as i type. Do you wet sand prior to the cleaner wax?

I would like to see if there is still some red left in the old girl.

@ THOR27 , don,t sand it , you want to preserve what's there ,  give it a couple of coats of oil ? if you are done , give it a try , don,t push it , just see if it starts to clear the dull stage. cleaner wax of your choice , once I  started to gain on it , just regularly gave it a touch up . have 2 that I  did , paint looks good , good luck with it , pete

Thanks Pete, I've done a few oil wipes and a hand wax before on this tractor, it starts to get depth, but in terecata not red. I'm probably just expecting too much from 54 yo paint.

edit: My palm buffer will be here tomorrow, I'll give it a try.
