Mysterious accumulation of miscellaneous impedimenta has befallen It's innards. It's important to remember two things. 1. When the little lady significant other BBT paint department disassembly technician Trina person informs you that one of those garage bays will be used for her car then you can fairly well assume that, one of those garage bays will be used for car. 2. Haven't even been using this thing full time yet which means I haven't had time to fill it full of my toys tools collections possessions prizes yet.

If you're referring to the backhoe Wally Digger machine that is currently living under a pop-up, I do have a designated spot for that under the left overhang shed roof. Now that said, if you can convince Trina to park her great big giant Honda Fit underneath that same pop up, I will be forever in awe of your great and wonderful accomplishment.

She just has a very kind and wonderful but also very firm demeanor which makes everything crystal clear that there is no option b. That, and, she pays for half the building so I guess I could let her use it.

Maybe... if you told her that you will buy her a remote start kit for her Honda so she can let it warm up before she gets in it... she might consider parking it under the pop-up... On the other hand... she might give you a suggestion that the pop-up would keep you out of the snow... Don
Rob J. 1,941 #440 Posted November 16, 2022 Me thinks the BBT needs her own RS account. We all would love for her to join in the conversations. What say you big bear? 😜😬
rjg854 11,356 #441 Posted November 16, 2022 She wouldn't be able to do all Eric's work if she started posting on here. Besides I don't think she ever sits down long enough, unless it's on one of her tractors. 1

ebinmaine 67,397 #444 Posted December 4, 2022 Every single day I look at the new building and still find it hard to believe it's finally done. We've been slowly utilizing it more n more. Trina and her mom, with a little help from me, have been working on building a rack for our firewood storage. There'll be another right beside this one. Vented walls will be built surrounding the area. We'll use the same 1 x 10 pine siding boards but turned horizontal. The bottoms will be held out 1-½" for an air gap. 2
ebinmaine 67,397 #445 Posted December 4, 2022 Trina had a really neat idea for a full height storage setup. The walls are just over 12 feet on the first floor. We'd love to be able to get shelves up near the top. She's considering a sideways rolling ladder like an old school library may have had. Rails at the top. Rollers at the bottom. 6

Couldn't you adapt roller tracks similar to the garage door tracks? As you add clutter to the building, try to find a second or third use to every square foot. The shelving idea is a good first step.

Just find a way to adapt the ladder to the rollers that would normally screw into the wood of the rolling door. 5 minutes ago, lynnmor said: As you add clutter to the building, try to find a second or third use to every square foot. The shelving idea is a good first step Absolutely agreed. I've been setting up our storage and workspace to do just that. Rolling toolbox base. Rolling tables. One will be the table saw. @OldWorkHorse Steve brought me some small dollies. Perfect solution for keeping engines and transmissions on. I'm making it so we can move things around easily when we need to use things or need more space in one area. We thought we were getting 8½', maybe 9' walls. The 12' height is excellent. Trina really wants to use as much high reach as possible.
