Yeah there's no pivoting this around the shop by lifting on the back end.  It's rolling or not moving.

Same as my find here in Norway a few years ago. But it had a broken steering gear, been neglected and stood still a long time. But after some TLC it works like a charm. Love it, but i miss diff lock in wintertime. Little sloppy in front wheel bearings witch is impossible to get cause not produced anymore. Also needed to replace all tires..😍

So my friend and I had a half day to throw at this thing and we have a nice runner!  Didn't take much really.  Carb cleaning, ground clean up at the negative battery terminal and solenoid, cleaned the points, replaced a couple connectors and fuse housing and fuse.  She popped right off.  Hydro fluid was low so we topped that off just to see if it would move and it did.  We ran it about 5 mins then changed the engine oil and filter.  Next will be changing out the hydro oil and filter, spark plugs, and air filter, servicing the mowing deck and maybe ordering some belts.  Still needs a deep cleaning and the hood and grill put back on.  But looks like a nice win at this time.  We all took a couple drives around the property with it.  here's a couple pics of Jack and yours truly

I've never cared for the look of the D series but I would have jumped on that deal in a minute. Nice find, good luck with putting her back into service,

Started on the deck work.  Covers removed for inspection and it needed a thorough cleaning for sure.  Looks like a house for someone at some point.

forgot to do a before pic but the dirt was so thick all 3 blades were hitting dirt when they turned.  Got most removed.  Now will try to get rust off and determine if we want to repaint this thing to slow the rust.  Deck wheels look to be needed as well.

Still need to finish cleaning out the fuel tank and run new lines.  Not sure if the fuel pump works yet or not.  But she's coming a long.

Looks like some fun.

You didn't mention, but I'd suggest you replace those old points too.

Yeah we cleaned the old ones for now.  It'll be on the maintenance list for long term use.  Friend will be putting this to work regularly so he'll want it reliable.
