New 48 inch Mower Deck

I am entertaining purchasing a new 48 inch mower deck, but I am trying to figure out for sure if it is just the shell ir a complete mower deck. The deck would be a 78361, and when I search it on parts websites it shows a number 94-9769.  Any help would be appreciated.

We talking new new from the dealer? 

 

the 78 361 is the 48SD deck. If you call Toro, and you give them that number you will get a complete 48SD mowing deck.

 

42 SD: 78 345

42 RD: 78 350

I wanted to order myself a deck as well, but they are no longer available in Europe. 

Could it be they changed from the 78 number to a 94- number?

Ok thanks for all of the replys. The price for just the shell seems extremely high, when just a few years ago the whole deck was cheaper. I just wanted to verify if there was some sort of glitch with the numbers.

I was shocked too when I saw the price. $1400 for just the shell. In 2011 that would have been a complete deck.

Yes thats why I was trying to find out if that 94 number is actually the complete deck now. I have one local dealer researching it. Some other local dealers seemed like they wanted no parts of looking into it.

Just my but I was told by my WH dealer that the 48'' Side Discharge deck was NLA. But the 42'' SD deck still is  ?

I would be ok with 42 side discharge if it was available as a complete deck. How long ago roughly was it the dealer told you that?

I think that you will find that they had nothing for a number of years and the website says no longer available.  I guess they leave it up for information purposes only.

I called new haven power in upstate Vermont 1-2 years ago.  I told him I was a member of red square. the guy just laughed and said "those red square guys cleaned us out"
