flywheel cover

Recommended Posts

BigDaddyO

hello,

i'm wondering if someone can confirm or suggest a correct part for me.

my 310-8 wheelhorse didn't come with any cover over the flywheel and since it's about 2" from my toe I'd really like to have one on there.

Is this the right part I'm looking for?  if so, how does it attach?  I don't see any screw holes or anything on how it attaches.

Thanks,

Mike

It just snaps on those 4 little buttons on the flywheel. Outside diameter is probably all you need...

incase anyone else has run into this, one of those buttons was broken off of my 16magnum. I drilled a tiny hole where the button was and used a small screw, about  a #4 and a washer about four years ago. Still holding....

Previous owner of My M16 just slapped a metal cover over it. note it's mounted on the fan shroud and not the fan/flywheel itself. This way the cover doesn't turn.  Maybe not the most beautiful option, but I prefer it.

I tried it that way. Without the screen spinning grass stuck to it like the 520...

My niche has the same issue with her 312, shield turns with the flywheel

That being said, I don't mow much at all.

Maybe a windshieldwiper is an option haha
